You’re not gonna find me up there, you big, dumb, law-breaking knuckleheads!
~ Alex’s famous quote.
Recognize this?
~ Alex showing Alice, Jernigan, and Unger the chip before leaving.

Alexander “Alex” Pruitt is the main protagonist of the 1997 comedy film, Home Alone 3. A resourceful whiz-kid by nature, Alex is able to defeat four terrorists by using intellectual set ups, rather than booby traps.

He is played by Alex D. Linz.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]

  • When he spotted Petr breaking and entering houses, Alex called the police in hopes of capturing him, which unfortunately fails twice.
  • Calls the U.S. Air Force by giving them the number of the microchip, which directly allows the FBI agents into capturing the four terrorists.
  • Although he held Petr at gunpoint, which caused him to flee, this was out of self-defense, as Petr kidnapped Alex to demand the information of the whereabouts of the microchip.
  • Frees Mrs. Hess from freezing to death by untying the ropes to the chair she was held hostage at, despite Mrs. Hess being bossy to Alex.
  • Forgives his family for falsely scolding him before.
  • He easily stands out from the admirable standards, due to the ambiguous canonity of Home Alone 3 from the other films. If the Home Alone films were all considered canon, Alex would still stand out for taking out four terrorists, who were dangerous threats.
  • Despite his traps being deadly, he never takes any sadism in harming the terrorists, unlike Kevin.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

  • Although his traps are out of self-defense, some of his traps are lethal like the traps Kevin made, as he electrocuted Eric Unger in the front door with wires, made Alice fall several floors in the house using a mini-lift and shredded Burton Jernigan's hair with a lawnmower, which could've killed Jernigan if it ever shredded him.
  • He has a mischievous moment where he keeps turning on random channels on Mrs. Hess's house, using a TV remote to aim for the TV.
