Ahsoka Tano is one of the main protagonists of Lucasfilm’s Star Wars franchise.
She was the Togruta Jedi Padawan of Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars, the conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. However, following a series of misjudgment and betrayal within the Jedi Order, she left the Order in favor of pursuing her own path.
Following the end of the Clone Wars, Ahsoka slowly began working within different groups of rebels that would rise to stand against the newly established Galactic Empire. Over time, she would gain more experience with her Force abilities and become more acquainted with both old and new allies.
She is voiced by Ashley Eckstein in The Clone Wars, Rebels, The Rise of Skywalker and Tales of the Jedi. She was portrayed by Rosario Dawson in the second season of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
In General[]
- Although she does initially start off as extremely arrogant, cocky, stubborn and reckless, she subverts most of these traits over the course of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
- While she was somewhat jerkish to Maul when he told her his tragic backstory and told her that they could've destroyed Sidious together, she refuses to give him a chance because she wouldn't let him kill her master and thinks that he would take his place despite (at the time) his offer being genuine as he really wanted to avenge the deaths of his mother and brother. She rejects his offer again in Rebels but was willing to trust him (along with Ezra Bridger), until Maul attacked Kanan Jarrus first.
Background[]
- As a baby, she stopped a lion from attacking her village by taming it.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars[]
Film, Seasons 1-3, and Tales of the Jedi[]
- She was very enthusiastic when she first met Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Rex on Christophsis even though the former didn't really feel the same.
- She only cut off 4-A7's head because he was a traitor working with Asajj Ventress.
- Returned Rotta back to his father Jabba the Hutt.
- Alongside Anakin, saved Plo Koon and other clone survivors from the Twilight.
- Saved Skywalker, Padme and C-3PO from General Grievous on the Malevolence.
- Immediately saw good in R3-S6 despite him being a traitor, calling him "Goldie".
- Tries to prevent Nute Gunray from escaping Republic Custody alongside Luminara Unduli, only to be stopped by Asajj Ventress.
- When Obi-Wan and Anakin were stuck on Vanqor, she tries to rescue them despite them not needing her help.
- Defends the Lurmens from the Separatists.
- Helping Anakin stop the Blue Shadow Virus, which got her infected in the process.
- When Ahsoka lost her whole squad while fighting Mar Tuuk, after getting motivated by Anakin, she tries again and later succeeded.
- When Ahsoka was sent to Guard Duty for her recklessness in the battle of Felucia, she defends Jocasta Nu when a disguised Cato Parasitti was invading it.
- Alongside Anakin, she tries to stop Cad Bane from torturing Bolla Ropal, only for the latter Jedi to die and her to get captured.
- Alongside Anakin, rescued a couple of force-sensitive younglings from Cad Bane that Palpatine was going to experiment on.
- Helps Anakin and Obi-Wan defend Felucia from Hondo Ohnaka and his pirates.
- Alongside Luminara Unduli's Padawan Barriss Offee, she sacrifices herself by destroying the Geonosian fortress from the inside, which nearly got them both killed.
- When clone trooper Scythe was infected by a Geonosian Brain Worm and infected everybody else, Ahsoka tries to defend herself from them and nearly dies again when doing so.
- When Ahsoka lost her lightsaber, she consults Tera Sinube, and the two go on a mission to find her lightsaber. And while she was initially annoyed at how slow Sinube was going, she eventually got used to it.
- Alongside Plo Koon, rescues Skywalker and Mace Windu from the wreckage of Endurance and they stop Boba Fett and Aurra Sing.
- At some point during the Clone Wars, she went through Anakin's vigorous training exercise by avoiding stun blasts from Clone Troopers. This allowed her to survive Order 66 in the long run.
- Helps Duchess Satine expose Prime Minister Almec for smuggling.
- When Aurra Sing injured Padmé Amidala, she came into her defense to stop her from killing her.
- She helps Riyo Chuchi rescue Chairman Papanoida's daughters.
Forces of Destiny[]
- She learns how to use two lightsabers.
- Helps Padmé defeat Parasitti when she inflitrated her apartment.
- Helps defend Anakin and Padmé when their ship was attacked by Separatist forces.
- Trains Padmé on flying Starfighters.
- Defends civilians from a malfunctioning droid.
Season 3[]
- Wanting to know more about politics, she meets Lux and Mina Bonteri and they kindly discussed their points on the war.
- When she revived, she apologized to Anakin for trying to kill him under the Son's influence.
- When Anakin tells her to not join his mission on Lola Sayu, she refuses and goes along with the mission anyway.
- She only killed Osi Sobeck because he was threatening to throw Admiral Tarkin into the lava if he doesn't reveal the data, although Tarkin would later show no hesitation in throwing her out of the Jedi Order and overall become Pure Evil as the story progresses.
- She mourns Even Piell's death and promised to give his half of his coordinates to the Chancellor.
- When she was captured by Trandoshans and transported to an island to be hunted, she helped Kalifa, Jinx and O-Mer defend themselves from them. She mourned Kalifa's death when she was shot.
- With the help of a young Chewbacca, she and the younglings later infiltrates' the Trandoshan's ship and supposedly killed Garnac since he was threatening the well-being of her, the younglings and the Wookiees.
Season 4[]
- She assisted the Republic in the Battle of Umbara in her starfighter.
- She helped Anakin, Ahsoka and Rex free Togruta slaves from Zygerria.
- Accompanied Padmé on a peace conference.
- She only impaled a Death Watch member and cut the heads of 4 other Death Watch members out of self-defense since they were burning up a village and threatening Lux Bonteri's life.
- Rejected Lux Bonteri's strange romantic attachments to her, pushing her off when Pre Vizsla came into the tent out of disgust that he kissed her.
- Wished Lux good luck when he refused to bring himself to Coruscant.
Season 5[]
- She helps Lux, Steela and Saw Gerrera stop the Separatist occupation on Onderon.
- Along with Yoda, helps 6 Jedi Younglings (Petro, Katooni, Zatt, Ganodi, Byph and Gungi) construct their lightsabers. Although Gungi would later use the lightsaber he made to defend Kashyyyk alongside Clone Force 99.
- She and the 6 younglings team up with Hondo and his pirate gang against Grievous after they captured her.
- She investigated the bombing of the Jedi Temple, and when she was falsely accused of killing Letta Turmond, she tried to evade her capture by the clones and even her master Anakin.
- Allies with Asajj Ventress so that she could go into hiding and gather information, only to be stunned by Wolffe.
- After getting expelled from the Jedi Order and put into trial thanks to Admiral Tarkin, she gets shocked when Anakin brought her former best friend Barriss Offee as he revealed that she was the traitor. And when Barriss admitted that both the Republic and the Jedi were corrupt, she sympathized with her and wasnt angry at her for framing her since Jedi like Mace Windu and even Emperor Palpatine himself were actually corrupt and arrogant. She later chose not to rejoin the order, despite Plo Koon apologizing for causing all of these events, Saesee Tiin sincerely commending her, and Yoda asking her back. It is implied she also left due to the arrogance of Ki-Adi Mundi and Mace Windu, all of whom made Barriss want to bomb the temple in the first place. When Anakin tries to talk to her, she says that while is grateful towards him, she wants to sort this all out on her own and kindly admitted she knew about his relationship with Padmé before walking away from the Jedi Order. This whole entire story arc is played extremely sympathetically and it ultimately makes her a scapegoat.
Season 7[]
- Some time later, she crashes her speeder bike into the Martez sisters' repair shop, where she meets Trace Martez and defends her from Pintu's goons.
- She assists Trace and Rafa Martez on their mission to transport spice to the Pykes, and when Trace messed it all up and got them all captured, she tries to free them.
- When Bo-Katan Kryze and her fellow Nite Owls see Ahsoka Tano, the person that she slapped back in Season 4, she tracks them down and offers Ahsoka to join her in their quest to reclaim Mandalore, which she accepted and left the Martez sisters.
- She praised Rex and the 332nd for their devotion towards her as they made helmets with her tattoos.
- She and Anakin reunite and wish each other good luck before they part as friends.
- She assists the Nite Owls and the 332nd on the Siege of Mandalore.
- She mourns Vaughn's death and held his hand as he apologized.
- After she and Obi-Wan contact each other on the outlook of the war, they both left on good terms.
- While arrogant and lethal in this, she dethrones and captures Maul.
- She refused to join Maul once she realized that he was going to kill him, showing her undying loyalty to her master.
- She and Bo-Katan exchange a handshake and leave peacefully now that their friendship is reconciled.
- Before Order 66, Ahsoka admits that she couldn't have a better friend than Rex.
- She subdues an inhibitor chip activated Rex and forgives him after she removes his chip with the help of R7-A7, CH-33P and RG-G1.
- She tells Rex that his men were good soldiers and that she will not be the one killing them, best shown when she and Rex only stunned them.
- She realizes her mistake in letting Maul and she and Rex try to stop him from escaping the ship before he jumped into hyperspace.
- She buries Jesse, Ridge, Sterling, and all of the other fallen clones onboard the Tribunal.
Ahsoka Novel/Tales of the Jedi[]
- She mourns Padmé's death during her funeral.
- She agrees to contact Bail Organa after he gave her his comlink, which she used after defeating the Inquisitor in her village of exile on Raada.
Star Wars Rebels[]
Season 1/Forces of Destiny[]
- As Fulcrum, she supports the Ghost Crew on their missions.
- In the end of this season, she reveals herself to them and tells them that they are a part of a bigger rebellion.
- In Forces of Destiny, she teaches Ezra how to trust his instincts.
Season 2[]
- She gets shocked when she senses Darth Vader, who was revealed to be her former master, through the force.
- She hugs Rex after they reunite.
- Defends herself and infants from the Seventh Sister and Fifth Brother.
- She prevents Maul from killing Kanan.
- She sacrifices herself by leaving herself behind in Malachor to fight Darth Vader as she chooses not to leave him.
Season 4[]
- She convinces Ezra to let go of Kanan and tells him that she'll see him soon.
- After leaving Malachor, she convinces Sabine Wren to go with her on a mission to rescue Ezra in the unknown regions.
The Mandalorian[]
- She refuses to train Grogu only because she thinks he may fall into the same corruption Anakin went through.
- She reveals to Grogu and Din Djarin where they can find a Jedi to train Grogu.
- She defeats Morgan Elsbeth and removes her from her position on Corvus after demanding for Thrawn's location and turned her over to the authorities.
The Book of Boba Fett[]
- She stops Din Djarin from interrupting Grogu's training, but agrees to give Grogu's beskar armor as a gift to Luke.
- She rightfully tells Luke Skywalker that he is just like his father Anakin in the way he trains before leaving.
Ahsoka[]
- The only reason why she parted ways with Sabine Wren in the first place is because their abilities were not compatible with each other, with Ahsoka being a force user but not a Jedi and Sabine being a lightsaber wielder but not a force user.
- She gets the Eye of Sion from Morgan Elsbeth's hideout and shares it to Sabine and Hera so that they can find Ezra and Thrawn.
- After Sabine is injured, she tries to defend her.
- She agrees to take on Sabine as her apprentice one more time.
- She tries to prevent Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati from taking the Eye of Sion.
- She endures Anakin’s harsh training and is able to reconcile with him.
- She happily reunited with Ezra and they defend the Noti from Thrawn's forces.
- She chooses to let Baylan Skoll walk away on his own path.
- She offers Shin Hati a chance of redemption, even though she rejects it.
- She kills Morgan Elsbeth so that she is unable to escape with Thrawn into the bigger galaxy. Afterwards, when she and Sabine are stranded on Peridea, they make a new home for themselves and vow to continue defending it from bandits.
The Rise of Skywalker[]
- She is among the force spirits of the Jedi that motivate Rey to defeat Palpatine.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She can still have occasional moments of arrogance and overconfidence, as well as badly timed lethality, such as telling Maul that Anakin or Obi-Wan would easily kill him, admitting she’s no Jedi and resorted killing whenever she thinks it's needed and killing two clone troopers not out of self-defense and freeing Maul during Order 66 to save herself which caused problems later on.
- She threatened Nute Gunray that he would be killed by her when he was taken prisoner.
- She occasionally can still act like a jerk, such as acting pretty cold towards Maul in their first encounter even after being told that Anakin gave into Palpatine's manipulations into the Dark Side and must be killed and never sympathized with his tragedy or negatively looking down at Sabine and talking behind her back.
Trivia[]
- If her story arc ended in The Clone Wars Season 5 like George Lucas intended it to be after selling Lucasfilm to Disney, she wouldn't have any corrupting factors as she would've subverted all of them, since the ones that still hold up only happen in The Clone Wars final season and in Rebels where she acted like a jerk towards Darth Maul, thus making her a full-on Pure Good.
- While she is Near Pure Good right now, there is a chance her status may change in Ahsoka Season 2 or in Dave Filoni's upcoming Star Wars film.
- While she was very vengeful and lethal during her battle against Darth Vader, saying that she is not a Jedi and refusing to use peaceful methods to bring Anakin back to the light until she cut off his mask. While it was understandable since she didn't know that Vader was Anakin, she was not willing to hesitate on killing him, however Vader is a very dangerous threat to Kanan and Ezra's safety and she did state she refused to fight him after she found out Vader's identity, plus she seems to have winded down from this aggression later on.
